This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, managing resources effectively, and leading a high-performing team to achieve our mission.REPORTING STRUCTUREThe Director of Operations reports directly to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with other senior leaders to support the strategic objectives of V3 Sports.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the day-to-day business operations of V3 Sports.Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational processes, making recommendations and implementing improvements as needed.Oversee relationships with key vendors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services.Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms, cost savings, and value for the organization.Continuously evaluate vendor performance, making recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary.Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Coordinate with department heads to ensure alignment of operational goals with overall company objectives, including HR, Marketing, Sales, etc.Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.Assist in the coordination and execution of the organization/'s performance review process, ensuring timely and effective feedback across all departments. Collaborate with team leads and HR to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall performance management system.Ensure the efficient execution of administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, maintaining smooth and effective operations.Maintain accurate records and documentation for all operational activities.Facilitate regular meetings among organizational leaders to ensure effective communication and execution of strategic tasks and objectives.Creating, preparing, and ensuring organizational leaders are meeting regularly to communicate actions towards stated goals.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork cross-functionally with various departments to ensure organizational goals are met and business functions are aligned for the benefit of clients, staff, programs, and members.Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to eliminate organizational redundancies.Lead initiatives to streamline processes and improve interdepartmental pliance and Risk ManagementCollaborate with Finance, HR, and other functions to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company/'s assets and reputation.Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures.Technology and InnovationStay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology to drive innovation within the operations department.Implement and leverage technology solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.Business Planning and Revenue GrowthDevelop and implement business plans that support the organization’s growth objectives and align with its mission.Collaborate with the leadership team to identify revenue-generating opportunities and create strategies to increase profitability.Monitor revenue streams and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance and sustainability.Strategic PlanningCollaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that support V3’s growth and expansion.Support the finance team in the budgeting process by aligning operational plans with financial objectives, while upholding and enhancing the company’s budgeting processes and efficiencies.Identify and evaluate new opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.Work with the executive team to refine and execute the current strategic plan for operational growth and effectiveness.Lead, manage and present to board of directors special projects as assigned by the Executive Director.QUALIFICATIONSWe recognize that skill sets can be a complex combination of experiences. Even if your background does not exactly match these requirements but you have a passion for our work, we would love to hear from you and we recognize the value of transferable skills.Must Haves5+ years of experience in operational management.Proven track record of managing complex operations and leading successful teams.Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability.High emotional maturity and discretion in handling confidential information.Resourceful team player with the ability to work independently.Proactive thinker, solution-oriented, and goal-driven.Outstanding judgement and initiative.Ability to analyze and make decisions but be able to pivot if it isn/'t working in our environment.Ability to anticipate needs and issues.Ability to create and execute against organizational goals.Proficient in task organization and time management.Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.Nice to HaveBachelor/'s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.Experience in retail or membership-based organizations.Experience working with startups.Ability to do things differently, openness to innovation, and new approaches.Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentWork is normally performed in an office environment with frequent use of office equipment.A hybrid work environment with a minimum of 3 days in the office.Some travel may be required on occasion.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the principal duties and responsibilities for the position.EQUITY AND SALARY DISCLOSUREWe believe in practices that create real equity and pay parity regardless of background or identity.
