Position Summary ITS has an immediate opening for a Warehouse General Manager at our facility located in Whitestown, IN. This position reports to ITS’ Sr. Director of Regional Operations and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations as it pertains to people management, inventory integrity, order fulfillment and the movement of goods in and out of the distribution center. Principle Accountabilities Responsible for oversight of all functions in the Distribution Center Supports all human resource related activities, including sourcing and staffing, performance management, compensation administration, and training and development Creates a culture that promotes ITS’ shared values and supports positive employee relations Monitors activities of work teams to ensure safe practices and proper housekeeping; provides guidance to the safety committee Works directly with clients to plan and forecast future business activity Utilizes WMS to develop reliable forecasts Builds an understanding of customer needs to enable effective planning Collaborates with sales to identify cross-selling opportunities with existing clients Owns the client / customer relationship and ensures an excellent customer experience Ensures activities performed on the customer’s behalf are value-added and that reviews and follow-ups on findings are completed Maintains facility and grounds to ITS standards; develops a preventative maintenance program Ensures space utilization plans provide safe and productive use of space with proper segregation of incompatible/non-conforming product Owns P&L and monitors/operates capital budgeting; participates in budgeting process Maintains Capex activities in line with P&L Assesses operations through cost-based decision making and regular planning & analysis Reviews and evaluates operational performance, addresses gaps, and takes corrective action to meet operating goals Leads organizational development efforts including recruiting, skill and leadership development, and performance management Coordinates and executes programs focused on continuous process improvement Owns the new customer implementation process, including collaboration with sales, startup planning, transportation support, and IT (WMS, TMS, EDI, small parcel) Partner with engineering to optimize layout, handling processes, and procedures Position Requirements The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of accomplishment in people and operations leadership, preferably in a 3PL environment. Bachelor's Degree preferred Five to seven years of general leadership experience with ability to support a broad range of warehouse personnel Ability to navigate complex situations that require multiple decision makers Experience in customer relations and fostering customer-centric thinking Working knowledge of operations software and reporting, including WMS and MS Office; advanced project management and data analysis a plus Solid financial acumen with planning, budgeting, and analysis/execution experience Knowledge of warehouse safety and security practices Ability to work autonomously and drive results through company and contract staff The compensation for this position is highly competitive and includes a comprehensive benefit plan with a matching 401k.
