PEPI: Director, Pricing—Commercial Excellence (OPEN TO ALL U.S. LOCATIONS)Join Alvarez & Marsal as a PEPI: Director, Pricing—Commercial Excellence in a role open to all U.S. locations. This position is part of our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice, which focuses on serving middle market and large-cap private equity firms to enhance operational results at their portfolio companies.Alvarez & Marsal, a leading global professional services firm with over 10,000 professionals across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, specializes in turnaround management, performance improvement, and corporate advisory services. Our team works closely with organizations to solve complex business issues and maximize value through a hands-on approach rooted in operational expertise.The Commercial Excellence team is experiencing rapid growth and offers significant opportunities for career advancement, leadership development, and international exposure. We aim to help clients improve revenue, margins, and marketing effectiveness through various initiatives such as Margin Transparency, Product Portfolio Optimization, SKU Rationalization, Price Optimization, and Margin Recovery.The Director will lead teams executing client programs related to Revenue & Margin Management, develop analytical plans, and deliver data-driven insights. Responsibilities include managing teams, communicating with C-level executives, designing actionable solutions, and contributing to intellectual property development.Key responsibilities include:Evaluating cost allocation processes and profitability by different dimensionsAssessing and improving product costing and cost-to-serve analysesOptimizing product portfolios and rationalizing SKUsDeveloping and implementing pricing strategies and initiativesLeading margin recovery efforts and cost-to-serve improvementsQualifications include:7-10+ years of experience in Revenue & Margin management, pricing, or related fieldsStrong financial, analytical, and communication skillsExperience with tools such as SQL, BI platforms, and statistical software is preferredLeadership experience managing teams and client relationshipsIndustry experience in B2B, Business Services, or private equity is a plusThe salary range is $150,000–$225,000 annually, with additional discretionary bonuses.
