As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country. The Manager of Data Strategy & Impact works closely with the Chief Program Officer. The Senior Manager of Impact Analytics will help establish Mercy Housing as the premier national anti-poverty organization by effectively conveying the story of Mercy Housing’s 45,000 residents through data trends and analysis. The Senior Manager is a hands-on position that will leverage the data we collect to better equip our site staff, craft an important narrative of Mercy Housing residents and the impact we create, and extract implications for shaping the conversation on poverty in the United States.This is a hybrid position, and applicants in any state that Mercy Housing operates are welcome to apply: IL, IN, WI, AZ, CA, CO, IA, MO, NE, UT, GA, AL, KY, NC, SC, OH, or TN. ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a data analyst to be responsive to aggregate data needs of Mercy Housing’s five regions.Proactively extract national data trends that can be shared statistically and in narrative form internally and externally.Collaboratively draw out implications of data with regional staff for process improvement.Empower site staff to make meaning of their work, innovate programs, and disseminate anize and lead teaching/learning workshops on creating reports and understanding Mercy Housing data.Collaborate to ensure strategic utilization of Research and Evaluation findings.Utilize applied social research methods to collect, analyze, and report on data in partnership with Resident Services leadership and staff.Supervise data quality and ensure efficient queries and data integrity, along with the System Administrator.Assist in the development of program evaluation plans including the refinement of logic models and the review of data collection tools and methods.Meet regularly with the Chief Program Officer and other Mercy Housing leadership and provide written and oral progress reports as requested.Collaborate with Philanthropy and Marketing to highlight and share Mercy Housing’s impact on communities across the country.Other duties as assigned. Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Five (5) to seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in data analysis using statistical software such as RStudio.Experience with relational databases and statistical concepts. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in science, mathematics, public policy, economics, or statistics is preferred.Master’s degree in public health, public policy, social work, or related field is highly preferred.Prior work experience in affordable housing or social services. Knowledge and SkillsAbility to produce and analyze complex spreadsheets in RStudio and Excel.Perform basic statistical analysis and knowledge of statistical software.Demonstrated knowledge of program evaluation methods.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to privileged legal and client-related matters.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly to a variety of diverse individuals and puter proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
