This role is hybrid (home and LinkedIn office on select days) with preferred locations in the Bay Area (San Francisco or Mountain View), New York City, or Washington D.C.Job Title: Policy ManagerAs a Policy Manager, you will shape and enforce policies that keep LinkedIn safe, trusted, and professional. You’ll scope, prioritize, and execute projects and initiatives across policy development and implementation, stakeholder training and awareness, and managing internal and external partnerships. You’ll work across technical and non-technical projects that support LinkedIn’s trust principles and platform integrity. Responsibilities Research, build and communicate global policies that impact broad-reaching safety and expression issues across LinkedIn’s products and advertisements. Critically analyze inputs from internal and external partners to establish long-term content and product policy stances, standards, and strategies. Autonomously manage multiple complex policy projects across all stages of development and implementation. Respond to escalations and use escalation trends to inform urgent policy guidance and communication needs. Craft and communicate effective data-driven stories and updates to senior leadership to influence decisions and outcomes. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify optimal solutions based on criteria such as cost, effort, complexity, and timing. Provide updates on the status and health of regional and global workstreams to stakeholders and management on a regular basis. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of work experience in policy writing, product risk management, policy operations, or digital trust & safety BA/BS degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications: Clear and thoughtful communicator, able to distill complex ideas and engage diverse audiences Technology industry experience with complex systematic and emerging risks Background in training or instructional design is a strong plus Strong relationship-building across teams, comfortable with technical and non-technical partners Analytical, with a problem-solving mindset and curiosity to uncover solutions Ability to translate between business and technical discussions Ability to influence prioritization of product changes Organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple ongoing projects Adaptable to changing business and technical conditions Familiar with using metrics and data to inform decisions, open to learning more Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of systems (configuration, settings, logging, permissions) Suggested Skills Policy writing Policy analysis Operational risk management Online safety Compensation and Benefits LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $86,000 - $141,000. Actual compensation packages are based on factors including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and location. The total package may include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive plans.
