We rank #12 for University Buildings and #18 for K-12 Education on Building Design + Construction's Giants 400 Report.We are looking for experienced leaders who will support this critical market for our group through developing new client relationships, revenue growth, and business planning efforts. Our ideal candidates will have Washington State-based experience and expertise in alternative delivery of ground-up education projects in K-14 with GC/CM and/or Design-Build. Special consideration given for experience in delivery methods for Higher Education.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Able to perform all Assistant Project Manager’s and Project Engineer’s responsibilities (refer to position descriptions)Estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum)Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchasesSet up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material deliveryDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and SubcontractorsWork with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety proceduresMaintain timely and accurate reporting to managementManage, train, and supervise project team according to Company policyOrganize regular meetings for management and subcontractorsReview contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract termsSupervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, Change OrdersDirect preconstruction services and activitiesNegotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packagesAssist with business development and participate in job interviewsMaintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project)Support estimating staff (bid item specialist)Avoid or mitigate claims and conflictComplete all job close-out proceduresConduct warranty follow-up (1-year warranty walks)Complete project with full or enhanced feeComplete other responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experienceField construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)Leadership abilityProblem-solving ability and strong sense of urgencyOrganizational and communication skillsDrafting and computer skillsFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accountingThorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)SUMMARY OF BENEFITS:This role is eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), individual stock ownership, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, bereavement leave, employee assistance program, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, basic term life insurance and AD&D, business travel accident insurance, short and long term disability, financial wellness coaching, educational assistance, membership, ClassPass fitness membership, and DashPass delivery membership.
