Job Description

OverviewPartner of Operations (CPA) / Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a boutique CPA firm. This is a permanent role based in Woodbury, NY, focused on leading operations, driving efficiency, and supporting growth.Base pay range: $300,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of the firm, ensuring efficient and effective execution of processes and procedures.Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the firm.Directly manage the firm/'s partners, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Oversee the firm/'s financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.Develop and implement robust operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems to meet and surpass business objectives.Drive the firm/'s performance by enhancing revenue, reducing costs, and ensuring superior client service.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while identifying opportunities for tax optimization.Act as a strategic advisor on key operational and business decisions.Foster and cultivate stakeholder relationships at city, state, and national levels.QualificationsCPABachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a CPA firm.Proven track record of managing a firm/'s operations, leading to increased productivity and prehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws.Strong financial and accounting background, including understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and budgeting.Exceptional leadership skills, with an ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels.Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.Proficient in using business software including Microsoft Office Suite and current accounting software.Proven negotiation skills, with a problem-solving attitude.Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.Strong writing and presentation skills.High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.Experience in planning, organization, and development.Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.Adaptable to change and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.Benefits401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEqual OpportunityJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
