The ALS Technical Partner will work in cooperation with the treatment team (provider(s), nurse, ancillary, etc.) to provide professional care to patients seeking treatment in the Emergency Department.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDAbility to assess needs of acute and chronically ill patients and their families.Ability to document and communicate pertinent information using computer and/or paper documentation tools.Demonstrates age-specific competencies in the care of neonates, infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, school aged, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions.Must be able to apply advance knowledge and training, developing and executing a plan of care, and rapidly intervene in life-saving procedures.ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - State of PennsylvaniaPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - State of PennsylvaniaAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of PennsylvaniaPA EMT-P Paramedic - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire orNREMT-Paramedic-National Reg of EMT-Medic - State of Pennsylvania Upon HirePreferred QualificationsAssociate’s DegreePHTLS - Prehospital Trauma Life Support - State of PennsylvaniaNREMT-Paramedic-National Reg of EMT-Medic - State of PennsylvaniaPhysical DemandsLift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking.
