Job Title: Sr. Director of EngineeringLocation: Homewood, ILTarget Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000/year (plus bonus)Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, PTO, 401K, BonusPosition Summary:Seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead major capital projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. This is primarily a project management-focused role overseeing $2M+ CapEx initiatives, vendor management, and site-level execution. The position will partner closely with Operations leadership rather than managing direct reports, while providing oversight and coordination of large-scale projects that exceed the scope of local plant engineering teams.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage large-scale capital projects ($2M+), from planning through execution.Oversee vendor relationships and project deliverables across multiple sites.Partner with Operations leadership to align capital projects with business objectives.Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.Provide strategic guidance on engineering standards, equipment, and facility infrastructure.Collaborate with plant-level engineering teams (responsible for day-to-day and smaller projects) to ensure smooth integration with larger initiatives.Present capital project plans, budgets, and progress updates to senior leadership.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field preferred).8–10 years of leadership experience in engineering within manufacturing (food, pharma, or related industries preferred).Proven success managing large, complex capital projects ($2M+).Strong vendor management, budgeting, and project execution experience.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and engineering software.Willingness to travel up to 50% to Georgia for the next 2–3 years (long-term travel expected).Background in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly preferred.Experience overseeing multi-site capital expansion projects preferred.Seniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project ManagementIndustries: Food and Beverage Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
