ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a specialty in HVAC to support day-to-day operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial food production equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that air systems and other mechanical components remain safe, reliable, and fully operational to support high-speed manufacturing operations. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Air Compressor Systems Maintenance * Maintain and support multiple industrial air compressor systems ranging from 150psi to 400psi * Service associated equipment such as air dryers, filters, and condensate management systems * Perform daily equipment checks and monthly PMs including cooler cleanings, oil/filter changes, and status documentation * Diagnose system failures and perform repairs in varied temperature environments * Maintain accurate equipment records to support asset lifecycle and preventive maintenance tracking Electrical & Mechanical Support * Troubleshoot and repair systems operating from 12VDC to 480VAC, including relay logic and VFDs * Understand and apply control diagnostics using Allen Bradley or similar systems * Install and support a range of industrial systems including motor circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics, and refrigeration * Interpret and work from technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals Safety & Collaboration * Respond quickly to breakdowns and production disruptions with minimal supervision * Support other team members with complex repairs or heavy equipment * Adhere to all OSHA, food safety, and Lockout/Tagout standards * Maintain a safe and organized workspace at all times * Be available for back shifts, weekends, and on-call support PAY & BENEFITS * Pay Rate: $32/hour base * Incentive Pay: Earn up to an additional $10.38/hour by completing job-related skills assessments within the first 90 days. * Sign on Bonus: $5,000 * Benefits Include: * Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and holiday pay * Safety gear and uniforms provided * On-the-job training and advancement opportunities WHAT YOU'LL NEED * High school diploma or GED * Must possess previous experience and/or technical training in one or all of the following areas: * PLC, electrical controls and motor circuits * Mechanical * Machinist * Hydraulic/pneumatic systems * Refrigeration * Cutting torches, TIG and stick welding * Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in hot, wet, noisy environments * Ability to read electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawing * Strong problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, and communication skills WHAT YOU'LL GET * People First: At GSF, we're not just a company; we're a dynamic community where your talents are celebrated, and your ambitions are nurtured. * Values Driven: Our core values drive everything we do, creating a culture of innovation, integrity, and excellence.
