Overview Noblis is seeking a Cleared Data Scientist (Multiple Levels) with IC experience and ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in Bethesda, MD and McLean, VA. The Data Scientist SME will be responsible for and not limited to translating mission needs into technical requirements, managing those requirements, and shaping strategic program direction. This SETA role provides technical and programmatic support to government teams by contract support (SOWs, RFPs, cost proposals), performance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and communicating complex concepts through reports, meetings, and senior-level briefings. The team ensures projects stay on track by overseeing cost, schedule, and performance. Responsibilities Driving data science effectiveness by evaluating analytical capabilities, conducting technique assessments, identifying methodology gaps, establishing performance metrics, and aligning with organizational business objectives. Leading continuous improvement initiatives through data process analysis, architectural enhancements, analytical workflow optimization, and capability enhancement roadmaps. Enhancing predictive modeling capabilities by designing implementation procedures, developing standardized approaches for different model types, establishing validation protocols, and coordinating cross-functional model deployment activities. Improving business intelligence through effective reporting templates, actionable data dashboards, real-time visualization mechanisms, and contextual insight distribution. Optimizing analytics tool usage by maximizing platform effectiveness, fine-tuning algorithms, synthesizing multi-source data, ensuring system integration, and recommending technical enhancements. Implementing data automation by identifying suitable processes, designing ETL workflows, developing code scripts, implementing automated analysis responses, and documenting procedures. Managing the data reporting lifecycle from collection to distribution, ensuring timely delivery, implementing feedback mechanisms, establishing archival procedures, and meeting compliance requirements. Fostering agile data science approaches through methodologies like analytics sprints, retrospectives, iterative development, and balancing innovation with governance requirements. Coordinating cross-functional data initiatives by serving as a liaison between teams, aligning analytics with organizational goals, facilitating knowledge sharing, and building stakeholder relationships. Leading data integration through architecture design, API implementation, data normalization, integration testing, and comprehensive documentation. Driving advanced analytics by developing collection strategies, implementing statistical techniques, creating insightful visualizations, designing KPIs, and leveraging data for strategic decision-making. Supporting government teams by translating mission needs into technical requirements, managing those requirements, and communicating complex concepts through reports, meetings, and senior-level briefings. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. US Citizenship is required. Experience with data science toolkits, data analytics and statistical analysis, and data discovery, use and exploitation within multi-cloud environments. Strong knowledge of standard data science languages (SQL, R, Python, Julia). Understanding of data integration and data management fundamentals and how to apply them to data science projects from development into production. Experience understanding customer needs and visualizing data effectively for projects. Experience with unstructured datasets and technical writing to communicate complex data simply. Ability to work with a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment. Compensation and Levels Senior Level: Bachelor's + 6 years; Master’s + 4; PhD + 2; High School + 10; Associate + 8. Compensation: $117,800 - $184,100. Expert Level: Bachelor's + 8 years; Master’s + 6; PhD + 4; High School + 12; Associate + 10. Compensation: $142,600 - $222,850. Desired Qualifications IC experience is highly desirable. Ability to independently conduct analysis to offer recommendations and alternatives. Strong relationship-building with program managers and leadership; capable of tracking task orders and resolving issues related to contracts. Problem solver in dynamic environments; ability to interface with customers directly. Strong understanding of intelligence disciplines, methodologies, and the intelligence cycle.
