Description: Candidate Type: MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor)Job Type: LocumDisciplines: ONC (Oncology)Work Schedule: specific datesA hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, has an opportunity for a Radiation Oncologist to assist with locum coverage.Opportunity Overview:Schedule: Monday-FridayCall Requirement: Weeknights (5p-7:30a) and weekends (24-hour), 1 week per monthSetting: Inpatient and outpatientDaily Volume: ~4 inpatients, ~25-30 outpatientsCases: Thyroid, H&N, thoracic, GI, GU, sarcoma, melanoma, lymphoma, metastatic diseaseDuties: Procedures, consultations, treatment planning, treatment supervision, OTV patient management, follow-upsRequired Procedures: 3D, IMRT, and SBRTEquipment: Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Cyberknife, Elekta HDRSupport Staff: Radiation oncologists, practice manager, RNs, MAs, medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, office staff, and procedure schedulerEMR: Aria and CernerMust be board-certifiedPaid travel & expensesDuring your time off, ride a hot air balloon over a scenic desert at sunrise, explore a botanical garden featuring desert plants, and stroll through art districts filled with murals, galleries, and vibrant street festivals.Please apply for more information about this opportunity.QualificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.Active unencumbered Radiation Oncologist Arizona state licenseGraduate from a fully accredited Radiation Oncologist programOne year of work experience as Radiation OncologistOne year of EMR experienceBoard CertifiedSKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster #J-18808-Ljbffr
