Job SummaryThe Administrative Supervisor will supervise the Administrative Support Team, to ensure that work aligns with department goals and faculty needs and is executed effectively and efficiently. This position will also support the Chair and overall department operations and engagement to foster a cohesive work environment.The Administrative Supervisor will provide high-level administrative and project management support to the Professor and Chair in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. This position will also provide support to department leadership roles including the Vice Chairs and Chief Administrative Officer to ensure smooth operations of department business.The Supervisor will primarily assist in the following areas:Supervision of the Administrative Support Team (Faculty Assistants and the Events Coordinator)Oversee administrative support to the Chair for calendar management and drafting of written communication and letters for the ChairManage and coordinate faculty appointments and promotions in the DepartmentSupervise Administrative operations for the Chair and DepartmentOversee budget tracking for Department accounts and submission of a high volume of expense reimbursementsThis position will require 2-3 days per week on-site at the Mission Bay Campus with the ability to work remotely the remaining 2-3 days.Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $100,100 - $164,000 (Annual Rate).Department DescriptionThe Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics is a large teaching and research department within the School of Medicine.
