Associate Manager, New Verticals - Retail Strategy & Operations About The Team The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce through expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since built world-class operations to delight our customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace. We are scaling our Retail selection and are seeking a strong operator to lead retail expansion, empower local retail economies, and drive a new revenue stream that supports our long-term retail strategy. About The Role As we scale our Retail business, we’re hiring an Associate Manager to support key strategic growth initiatives and expand our retail presence in the US across multiple categories (pets, beauty, flowers, office supplies, home improvement, and more). You’ll design the strategy (which retailer types/geos/categories to pursue), run scrappy tests, and turn wins into scalable playbooks—owning the full funnel from prospecting to onboarding to growth. We operate in a hybrid model and spend a few days a month in person together. You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will… Strategize. From first principles, map selection whitespace by retailer type, geo, and category to unlock product availability for customers. Operate. Stand up 0→1 pilots, build dashboards, manage week-over-week KPIs, and turn wins into scalable processes. Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate expansion opportunities and prioritize bets. Build. Translate sales cycles and GTM needs into requirements and co-lead product feature development. Lead, collaborate and influence. Work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to unlock partnerships, growth, and quality to scale retail presence nationwide. We’re Excited About You Because… You have 4–6+ years of experience in analytical, cross-functional environments (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related). You are an owner. You seek opportunities to improve work and scale learnings through playbooks and SOPs. You’re entrepreneurial. You have a bias for action and can build things from the ground up. You’re analytical. You rely on data, comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in Excel. You can operate at both strategic and detailed levels, inspiring a team while handling day-to-day execution. You thrive in ambiguity and startup environments, with creativity and scrappy execution. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree. Compensation and Benefits National base pay range for this position within the United States: $98,600—$145,000 USD. Opportunities for equity grants; details discussed with recruiter.
