Your Job: As a Building Superintendent at SMD, you will be responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating the work of Subcontractors and trade labor. This includes ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to the project budget. Your typical responsibilities will include: Ensuring the safety of the project by adhering to all Company Policies and OSHA safety standards Planning, directing, and prioritizing all trades to keep the project moving and on schedule Ensuring compliance with all codes and company, state, and federal policies and regulations Communicating effectively with other trades or subcontractors regarding scheduling and coordination of work to meet deadlines Building and maintaining good working relationships with the project design team and ownership parties and effectively communicating necessary information clearly and timely Completing daily field reports, weather logs and taking daily pictures to document construction progress Your Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of experience in general building construction Ability to read, interpret, and understand civil, foundation, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings Must take pride in performing quality work Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening Must successfully complete a Physical Demands exam Your Compensation and Benefits: Competitive pay with increases based on performance Yearly Performance Bonus Company vehicle Year-round work 2 Weeks paid vacation Health Insurance (company pays 60% - 70% of cost) Affordable dental and vision insurance 401(k) and profit sharing Company paid Life Insurance, with additional coverage available Company paid Long-term disability, with Short-term disability available Equal Opportunity Employer The Murphy Construction Group/Scott and Murphy, Inc./Scott, Murphy and Daniel/Hartz Contracting (the Company) is an equal opportunity employer.
