OverviewGAQ426R226 We are seeking a Senior Manager of Data Strategy to lead data management and governance for the FP&A organization. You will partner with stakeholders across the business, including Data Engineering, Product, Sales Strategy, Finance, and IT to build a single source of truth for operational data and management reporting. This serves as the foundation for data-driven decision making that helps drive growth for Databricks. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in business operations with a deep understanding of data management principles and practices. ResponsibilitiesDevelop a single source of truth that will serve as the foundation for operational and management reporting and the basis for BI tools and GenAI. Standardize and document key metrics and data definitions across the organization. Partner with Sales Strategy and GTM Planning to understand organizational design, role types, account structure, and segmentation. Ensure data compatibility and consistency across systems and teams. Develop and implement a strong governance framework and access controls. Support SOX governance implementation in a manner that is compatible with operational needs and the cadence of the business. Lead the intake, requirements gathering, and prioritization processes to onboard new ingestion pipelines, datasets, and metrics. Qualifications8+ years of experience in business operations, finance, or a related technical field Strong understanding of data management principles and practices, including data governance, quality, and architecture Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and analysis Familiarity with programming languages like Python Knowledge of data structures and ETL Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate effectively with engineering and IT teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and drive business outcomes Nice to HaveExperience with data management technologies such as data lakes, data warehouses, and data governance tools Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and architectures Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations Experience leveraging GenAI tools in a professional setting Pay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is Zone 1 Pay Range: $189,900 — $265,875 USD. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
