Title: Director Cardiovascular Operating RoomCompensation: $127,000 $160,000/year (based on experience) + up to 17.5% annual performance bonusSchedule: Full-Time, Days (Administrative Hours, No Weekends)Location: Asheville, North CarolinaPosition Summary:A respected hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Director of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to oversee a dedicated 6-room cardiovascular surgical suite. This individual will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of clinical excellence and collaboration. This role is uniquely focused on cardiac surgical services, separate from the general OR, with full oversight of financial, staffing, and operational performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day operations, programs, and staff for the CVOROversee financial performance, staffing, and resource allocationEnsure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standardsDirect operations to achieve safe, efficient, high-quality outcomesEstablish and align departmental goals with hospital strategic initiativesProvide professional practice leadership and promote evidence-based careSupport leadership growth, team development, and succession planningRequired Qualifications:Masters Degree in Nursing, or BSN with MBA, MHA, or related graduate degreeCurrent RN license (Compact accepted)BLS requiredNational Nursing Leadership Certification (to be obtained within 1 year if not already held)Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experienceProficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, internet/intranet systems, email)Preferred Qualifications:MSN5+ years of progressive leadership experienceOpen heart surgery experience (required for consideration)Unit Information:Dedicated CVOR with 6 Rooms (5 Traditional, 1 Hybrid)On-Call Team of 3 & Late Call Team in place36 FTEsCurrent Manager coverageCompensation & Incentives:Base salary: $127,000 $160,000 annually (based on experience)Incentive bonus: Up to 17.5% annuallySign-on bonus: Case by caseRelocation assistance: Case by caseBenefits Include:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchTuition reimbursement & certification supportPaid time off, family leave, and disability coverageEmployee wellness and counseling resourcesAdditional voluntary benefits (pet insurance, legal services, ID theft protection, etc.)
