Job SummaryProvide professional services in psychiatry including psychiatric assessment, consultation, medication management, and referrals to CSULB cumbent enthusiastically supports the University's commitment to the academic success of all students, including students of color, students with disabilities, first-generation students, veterans, and others, offering a rich variety of expertise, perspectives, and ways of learning. The position emphasizes equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive services, employing a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric assessment and medication management to students, including initial intake evaluations, follow-ups, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, and medication consultation.Consult with CAPS staff, campus SHS providers, CSU faculty/staff, and the public, both in person and via telephone.Offer psychiatric consultation for the campus community.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have experience in clinical assessment, medication management, crisis intervention, and psychiatric hospitalization, especially with young adults. Strong foundation in evidence-based care, safe medication protocols, and collaboration with campus health services is essential. Excellent interpersonal, communication, cultural competence, reliability, and basic computer skills are required.Education and ExperienceGraduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency in a relevant specialty, with progressive experience in that field.Licenses and CertificationsValid California medical license, current medical board certification, DEA certification, CPR/AED certification, and Board Certification or Eligibility in Psychiatry. #J-18808-Ljbffr
