This is a unique opportunity to become part of a young division in which every member takes pride in knowing that they help us to deliver exceptional family-focused, equitable, and accessible services to a diverse pediatric population.Arizona and the greater Phoenix area specifically are experiencing tremendous growth and we are the major tertiary center in the region for pediatric otolaryngology, and head and neck surgery problems.The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing the full spectrum of pediatric otolaryngologic conditions. A subspecialty interest in aerodigestive and complex airway disorders is preferred, but not addition to clinical care, the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to advance the field with clinical or basic science research endeavors and to help guide the education of the next generation of providers with teaching opportunities involving residents and medical students from three local institutions. We are the pediatric arm of the Mayo Clinic Arizona Otolaryngology Residency program and we have academic affiliations with Mayo Clinic Medical School, the University of Arizona College of Medicine–Phoenix, and Creighton University Medical School. All offer educational opportunities and faculty appointments.Our physical footprint is expanding. It is all to ensure Arizona families have access to high-quality healthcare – right in their own communities. With a comprehensive quaternary children’s hospital, a free-standing emergency department, two additional community hospital locations opening in 2024, and more than 40 sites of care and clinics, we deliver high-quality care for communities throughout the Southwest. We are made up of more than 1,500 medical staff providers who address health challenges from the every day to the most complex and from the earliest years onward.
