SSC plays a critical role in advancing the United States's space capabilities, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect and enhance national security. SSC/SZBC specializes in highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to support the Department of Defense’s (DoD) current and future operational needs.As a leader in space technology, SSC/SZ-BC is responsible for the development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems spanning the entire acquisition life cycle. These efforts ensure the United States Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners maintain a strategic advantage in space operations. We have earned national and regional awards in the Department of Defense for our proven IT, Engineering, and Program Management capabilities.We are committed to working with exceptional quality and professionalism to deliver excellence to our customers, while providing our employees a stimulating and satisfying work environment as we collaborate with teammates to achieve common goals.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for projects and programs at any acquisition life cycle stage.Support program acquisition for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration.Advise and assist on cost, schedule, and performance issues.Revise or draft Joint Capabilities Integrated Development System (JCIDS) and acquisition documentation for government program managers.Support presentation of products to internal and external customers.Develop documentation using latest government guidance (e.g., MIL-STD).Provide draft SME-level technical and/or programmatic status reports as requested.Identify improvement areas in acquisition processes and recommend actionable changes.Assist in building and maintaining government risk programs.Support government program manager in managing commitments, obligations, and expenditures.Perform earned value management and schedule analysis for defense contracts.Provide Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) support including congressional reporting and fiscal year planning.Offer subject-matter expertise for Integrated Baseline Reviews/Business Financial Reviews.Maintain current awareness of program schedules and monitor acquisition implementation.Report requirement shortfalls and provide program assessments based on identified risks.Advise on technical engagements such as technical interchange meetings and design reviews.Assist integrated product teams and establish customer and contractor interfaces.Assist government in executing source selections subject to FAR 9.505-4.Coordinate functional meeting requests and develop source selection documentation.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:MA/MS degree is dividual must be an SME Recognized Industry Leader.Must be highly knowledgeable in acquiring highly classified ACAT-like space control systems.Must be highly knowledgeable in developing and coordinating all activities and documentation required to support ACAT-like Defense Acquisition Boards.Must be highly knowledgeable in the PPBE process and headquarters staffing process.Must be highly knowledgeable in the fields of Department of the Air Force financial management.Must demonstrate ability to lead a team of acquisition and systems engineering professionals to support ongoing and emerging program acquisitions.Tradeoffs can be made with regard to PM level 4. A PM level 3 is adequate as long as the candidate is an industry leader. Additionally, an MS is preferred, but a BS is adequate as long as the candidate is an industry leader.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not supervise the work of others.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able tooperate a computer and other standard office equipment.
