Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist. This role is responsible for coordinating the inbound and outbound shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse environment and a strong commitment to accuracy, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Accurately document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages. Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements. Create shipping labels and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips). Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and vendors. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions. Ensure inventory accuracy by properly labeling and storing materials. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits. Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with shipping systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) and ERP or inventory software. Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Preferred Skills: Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Knowledge of international shipping practices and customs documentation (if applicable). Familiarity with barcoding and scanning equipment.
