OverviewDean of Academics - Northpoint UniversityNote: This position requires living in the greater Seattle, WA area for regular in person leadership team meetings.Date: September 2, 2025Status: Full Time, ExemptReports to: PresidentMissionNorthpoint University empowers missional leaders to spread the gospel.DescriptionThe Dean of Academics is a senior administrator responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for academic programs, developing and implementing academic policies and procedures, overseeing faculty and staff, and working to ensure the success of students.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction for academic departmentCollaborate and coordinate with the Director of Admissions for the handover of admitted students and student filesOversee the students’ experience from admittance through to graduationDevelop and implement academic policies, procedures, and programsOversee the completeness, accuracy, and currency of the University catalogRecruit, vet, evaluate, and oversee faculty and their effectivenessDevelop, oversee, and collaborate with a faculty committee to consider academic programs, student needs, policies, and other academic issuesEnsure compliance with internal and external standards and requirements (regulatory agencies)Collaborate with staff regarding budget, finances, and expendituresPromote the college’s mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholdersAddress student needs, including learning disabilities, unsatisfactory academic progress, and other special circumstancesDevelop and implement a student outcomes assessment programMaintain accurate and complete student records in the University’s database systemEnsure facilities are adequate and instructional resources and equipment are functional and availableCollaborate with the accreditation liaison through the accreditation processQualifications RequiredA master’s degree required; doctorate preferredA servant heart; the desire to be a servant-leaderAgreement with the university’s statement of faithCommitment to the mission of the universityA commitment to building relationships with students and facultyAbility to work effectively with an ethnic, cultural, and socially diverse student populationStrong organizational, written, oral communication, and human relations skillsKnowledge of and experience in academic settingsAbility to utilize technology and adapt to changing technologiesExcellent time management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
