Senior Design Engineer - Heat Trace

OverviewSenior Design Engineer - Heat Trace at Thermon. Lead the engineering effort for heat tracing systems, coordinating with the Project Manager and client on technical and commercial matters to ensure customer satisfaction and Thermon profitability. Role based out of Houston, TX.ResponsibilitiesReview all project specifications and documentation to thoroughly understand the scope of work.Develop the Project Design municate project requirements to team members, including quality, schedule, and technical constraints.Ensure all team members follow the Quality Plan and take corrective actions as needed.Lead all technical aspects of the project, including setup, tool selection, and allocation of team roles and work.Identify and evaluate scope creep and communicate it to the Project Manager.Maintain the Project Design folder structure.Provide input in the development of Global and Regional tools and procedures as required.Other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.Bachelor's degree in a technical field considered with industry experience.Minimum of 2 years of work experience in prior Heat Tracing.Required SkillsAbility to work autonomously and drive results; self-driven and motivated.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork skills across a multi-faceted organization.Technical proficiency in heat tracing design and knowledge of Piping & Insulation Systems, Electricity, and P&IDs, governing Codes.Ability to mentor team members and encourage technical growth.Promotes a healthy open team environment and communicates the seriousness of Thermon’s business.Generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, supports change, and solves problems creatively.Effective verbal and written communication with team members, supervisors, and internal/external customers.Preferred SkillsExperience with design software such as CompuTrace, Visi Trace, TSDS or equivalent.Job DetailsLocation: Houston, TXSalary: $90,000.00–$110,000.00Employment type: Full-timeSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelIndustries: Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Thermon.
