OverviewThe General Manager role at Avery Healthcare is a critical position that requires strong leadership, management, and communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents while meeting regulatory and business performance targets. This is an opportunity to join a supportive, values-driven organization that is committed to creating meaningful experiences for both residents and employees.ResponsibilitiesLead and inspire a team to provide excellent person-centered care in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment.Recruit, retain, and develop staff; ensure safe staffing levels and effective cost management.Serve as a focal point of contact for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals involved in residents’ wellbeing.Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care based on best practices and regulatory requirements.Provide ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.Manage costs within budgetary controls by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.About youHave a minimum of four years of experience in a similar care environment.Have Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.Possess excellent leadership and management skills.Have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and be competent in IT.Be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.About AveryAt Avery, we’re not just one of the UK’s largest providers of luxury elderly care homes—we’re a place where people love to work.
