Director of Facilities Planning & Construction

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Business Services, performs a variety of duties related to the planning, funding, construction, modernization, and maintenance of school facilities. Coordinates and supervises the development of short- and long-range data involved with the planning of school district facilities including enrollment projects, facility needs, financing and constructionThe Director of Facilities Planning & Construction focuses on research and planning activities that support adjustments to attendance boundaries, new construction, expansion, remodel and use of existing facilities. Advancement to this position is based on need and compliance with the qualifications of the position including the ability to plan, evaluate and initiate programs that meet current and future District facilities needs.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field and five years of experience that includes the areas of construction project management and facilities planning, two years of which must have included supervisory responsibilities.Licenses and CertificatesValid California driver’s license.
