Job SummaryBaptist Health, the region’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organization, is seeking a Social Worker to intervene with patients and families for psychosocial needs, support, and assistance in coping with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. The role involves providing consultation, discharge planning, education, counseling, advocacy, and referrals to meet emotional, social, and financial needs. The Social Worker will also provide crisis intervention, coordinate discharge plans, serve as a liaison with community resources, and address issues such as child or elder abuse, domestic violence, and bereavement. Services are provided across all patient groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.QualificationsMaster's in Social Work (MSW)0-1 years of social work experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (internship considered as experience)Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsStrong analytical, data management, and computer skillsKnowledge of discharge planning, crisis intervention, and complex case management preferredAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple high-risk patientsAbility to collaborate effectively with care teams and community resourcesAdditional InformationEstimated salary range: $59,359.09 - $77,166.82 per year, depending on experience.This position is open to all qualified candidates.
