So, even if you feel that you’re close but not an exact match, we encourage you to apply.OverviewThis position is a hybrid position based out of our Rolling Meadows, IL Headquarters.Reporting directly to the GB’s Global CFO, this position will be responsible for our financial accounting, reporting and client billing operations. While a strong knowledge of GAAP financial accounting and reporting is required, SEC compliance and reporting takes place at the corporate parent level.The ideal candidate is an experienced strategic leader, strongly rooted in understanding and improving processes with demonstrable improvements. They will play a pivotal role in shaping structure, capabilities and the long-term vision of GB’s Finance organization.The GB Controllership requires strong leadership skills with the ability to identify and develop talent while building highly effective, scalable teams. The ability to confidently manage up and down divisional hierarchy and work effectively with our corporate parent is required.How you/'ll make an impactKey ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead all divisional accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, client service fee billing & collections, client financial services and financial reportingDeliver timely and accurate financial close and reporting processes across multiple international legal entities, currencies, and jurisdictions.Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows, reduce manual dependencies, and integrate disparate systems and data sources.Develop and scale a best-in-class accounting team, structure, and operating model aligned with long-term business objectives.Partner with the CFO, IT, and operational leaders to deliver a roadmap for divisional systems integration and process standardization.Collaborate with the CFO and cross-functional leaders to align financial operations with global business strategy.Maintain a strong internal control environment; ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOXDrive change management and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, while building scalable platforms.About YouRequiredBachelor/'s degree in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA)10+ years of progressive accounting leadership, including experience as Controller or Assistant ControllerManaging company or division profit and loss and income statementExperience in a global, multi-entity organizationStrong foundation in US GAAP accounting and reportingStrong process design and improvement skills, with experience implementing workflow toolsExceptional leadership, with excellent communication and team-building abilitiesAbility to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organizationExperience in fostering a positive and inclusive work environmentCapability to drive employee engagement and performanceExperience in integrating acquisitions, both domestically and internationallyPreferredMBAInsurance industry experiencePublic accounting experienceWhy Join UsLead transformational change in a global $2B+ finance organizationReport directly to the GB’s Global CFO, with visibility and impact at the executive levelEntrepreneurial, hands-on environmentCompetitive compensation and leadership equity packageBe a foundational leader during a period of transformation and global growthBe part of a mission-driven team shaping the future of risk management#LI-TJ1Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package.
