Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.Humane World for Animals, a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, is seeking a Director, Facilities for Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas. In this position you will oversee the facilities operations at Black Beauty Ranch (BBR). You will manage budgeting, contractors, maintenance, security and safety throughout the facility.Responsibilities:Directs the day-to-day facilities functions and operations of Black Beauty Ranch, including pasture management; fertilization and planting; herbicides and pesticides; enclosures and fencing; vehicles, roads, and heavy machinery; buildings and infrastructure; plumbing and electrical systems;Coordinates routine maintenance and repairs including waste disposal;Designs construction and renovation projects in cooperation with the Director and animal care team and prepares estimates on materials and project costs. Oversees in-house construction and arranges contracts for larger projects including bidding and day-to-day supervision;Creates a safe and secure work environment, including implementing safety procedures and training staff, interns, and volunteers on technique, procedures and safety;Prepares facilities budgets and monitors expenditures;Oversees, interviews, and trains volunteers and interns;Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and permits;Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or another related field, or equivalent work experience, required;A minimum of nine (9) years of experience in facilities operations required;Ability to operate heavy equipment, including skid steer, backhoe, and tractors;A valid driver’s license is required and a clean driving record is strongly preferred, with the ability to demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record while employed;Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);Leadership ability in work setting. Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;Ability to set a positive tone for employees during their day;Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management with excellent interpersonal and intervention skills;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Knowledge of business operations, including effective budget development and management processes;Attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.This is a full time position located in Murchison, TX.
