PowerOn Reliance Application Engineer

OverviewThe PowerOn Reliance Application Engineer will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.This role is required for the implementation of advanced SCADA and Power System applications. Application implementations include functional analysis (requirement traceability), documentation, configuration, test case drafting, testing, defect triaging and automation test (Katalon) support.ResponsibilitiesPerforms applications configuration and tuning, performance, uptime, and health monitoring and security patching in support of Energy Management System (EMS) platformExecute validation tests, results analysis, defect analysis and triageProvides technical support and problem-solving capabilitiesProvides documentation on test and user proceduresAnalysis and update of functional and non-functional traceability matrixEnsures quality assurance standards and procedures are followedImplement technology solutions to optimize the effectiveness of the EMS platform, and help develop appropriate procedures for their implementation and operationPerform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS platformConduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modificationsEnsure that the systems database is adequately sized and configured to support all remote field devices utilizing various protocols and calculated valuesProvide auditable documentation recording the changes on the Energy Management System platform delivered as part of support servicesDeliver weekly report detailing Energy Management System support deliverables completed during the reporting weekQualifications5+ years of work experience in Power system applications – Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Frequency Control, Dynamic Stability Analysis, Load Forecasting, Operator Training Simulator (OTS)Experience in GE PowerOn Reliance with background in power system applications & conceptsExperience working in Linux/Windows operating systems and working experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, SQL DB) is preferredBachelor/'s Degree: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Required) or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fieldsBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and disability insurance401k package that includes both traditional and Roth IRA options and Company matchPaid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year)All full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 8 Paid Holidays per yearTRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residenceThese benefits are applicable to US employees depending on their employment status (full time, part time, or temporary).
