Akana is seeking an experienced Architect to join our dynamic Portland office. This is a full time, hybrid position; some in office hours may be required periodically.We’re committed to sustainable solutions and strong community ties, and we’re looking for someone who shares that vision.What You’ll DoLead production of construction documents including drawings in Revit and specifications for projects ranging from affordable housing and community buildings to industrial and transportation facilitiesLead construction administration services and provide design services during construction to ensure project successCollaborate and coordinate with other disciplines including landscape, civil and structural projects, as needed, for our multi-disciplinary teamInteract with clients, customers, officials, and contractorsProject management of multidisciplinary projectsAssist with development of project schedules and budgets, and monitoring of project schedules and budgetsWhat We OfferCompetitive Salary: Range of $75K – $90K annually (based on experience), plus a robust benefits package that includes medical coverage, short- and long-term disability, 401k with company match (after one year), generous PTO, and 10 paid holidays.Opportunities for Growth: Collaborative and supportive team environment fosters career growth and development.Meaningful Work: The chance to be part of a purpose-driven company that makes a positive impact on communities and the environment. We have various committees you can join to help shape the future of our company!Minimum Required Key QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited university5-10 years minimum relevant experienceLicensure preferred but not required if on path to licensure within reasonable timeExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeWell-versed in RevitAdept at Adobe Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Bluebeam with graphic and page layout skills to create presentations and reportsWillingness to do field work and ability to travel for out-of-town projects. 10-15% of travel time may be requiredAdditional responsibilities may include assisting with land use planning, site development, presentations, and facility condition assessments.Ready to join a company that values people, projects, and purpose?Apply now!
