Anesthesiology Medical Director

Overview HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking an experienced, Board Certified, Facility Medical Director to lead the team at HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, located on the west coast of Florida, less than an hour south of Sarasota. For the past four years, HCA Healthcare has been operating this Program as an employed group and we continue to maintain a collegial, productive clinical environment where our physicians can focus on providing outstanding patient care. Responsibilities The Facility Medical Director is responsible for the oversight and management of all clinical operations including staffing and utilization of fulltime and premium contingent labor, compliance with protocols and practice standards, as well as managing the relationships between Anesthesia and the Hospital’s MSO, Surgical Services and C‑Suite/Administration. They will work in partnership with the facility’s Director of Physician Services, the Assistant Vice President of Operations and the Regional Medical Director in their market. The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator—comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization and able to successfully partner with facility leadership and ancillary departments. This individual will also have a passion for maintaining the highest quality standards and valuing practice stability and retaining our talented team members.
