OverviewThe McMillan Family Medicine Clinic is hiring for a Medical Assistant (Full-Time, Day Shift) at Saint Alphonsus Health System. The clinic uses a team-based approach to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport a busy and established physician at the clinic.Collaborate with other MAs and RNs to support Providers in a positive workplace culture.Utilize a variety of MA skills and care for a diverse patient population.Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prepare injections.Assist with minor procedures, complete point-of-care (POC) tests, and process tasks in the task inbox.Demonstrate friendly, flexible, and team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.What Will You DoIn addition to primary MA duties, perform phlebotomy, immunizations, injections prep.Assist with minor procedures and complete tests; manage orders and tasks in the inbox.Collaborate effectively with team; maintain professional communication and a positive attitude.Work Schedule40 hours per week, 4 – 10 hour shifts, Monday–Thursday with Fridays off.Shift start and end times may vary based on provider and clinic needs.Location12273 W. McMillan Road, Boise, ID 83713Located near the intersection of McMillan and Cloverdale Roads.Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)American Medical Technologists (RMA)National Healthcare Association (CCMA)National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)New Graduates: MA certificate of completion from an accredited program; completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours, even with MA certification.Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year MA experience or current MA Certification, or obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved agencies.Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required at hire from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.Note: MA certification typically requires completing an MA program or at least 1 year of work as an MA.
