OverviewMemorial Healthcare System in South Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with a strong interest in the care and management of patients with sickle cell disease. This full-time, employed opportunity with the Memorial Physician Group offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a board-certified hematologist who serves as the Medical Director of a dedicated sickle cell medical home. Location: Hollywood, FL.ResponsibilitiesPrimary focus on the clinical management of adults with sickle cell diseaseOutpatient pain management of sickle cell diseaseJoin a multidisciplinary care team that includes a social worker, pharmacist, wellness coach, and dedicated nursesAccess to dedicated outpatient hematology clinics, infusion/day hospital services, and embedded primary careAccess to apheresis and transfusion servicesCollaborate with a board-certified hematologist medical director and a team of advanced practice providers dedicated to the care of adult patients with sickle cell diseaseCollaborate with Memorial’s pediatric hematology teamCollaborate with Memorial Cancer Institute, which partners with Moffitt Cancer CenterQualificationsBoard-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineStrong interest in the care and management of sickle cell diseaseAbility to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient settingBenefitsThe position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package commensurate with training and experience.
