OverviewJoin to apply for the Physician (Section Chief, Urology) role at Veterans in Healthcare.Location: Phoenix VA Health Care System, Phoenix, Arizona.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive urology care for hospitalized patients and ambulatory settings within the Surgical Service, Urology Section.Diagnose and treat diseases within the scope of Urology using ambulatory and bed-based resources.Participate in hospital rounds, morning reports, conferences, consultations, ambulatory care, and related activities.Coordinate and provide urology surgery consultations throughout the medical center.Recruit qualified physicians to perform comprehensive and specialized patient care and teaching.Key RequirementsU. CitizenshipMust pass pre-employment examinationEnglish Language Proficiency requiredDesignated and/or Random Drug Testing requiredBackground and/or Security Investigation requiredQualificationsBASIC REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship; degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent; current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery; BC/BE in Urology; proficient in spoken and written English.Preferred Experience: proficient in both laparoscopic and robotic surgery; proficiency in the use of various computer programs for patient care; supervisory experience is a plus.Additional InformationRelocation and recruitment incentive has been authorized.PCS is not authorized.Salary will be determined by a Compensation Panel of peers.This position is supervisory.The vacancy will remain open until filled.Education and CredentialsEducation must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited toward qualifications.
