OverviewJob Opportunity At Sutter HealthWe are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!Organization: MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical CenterResponsibilitiesCollect blood specimens, as well as receive, handle and process specimens for Laboratory teract with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, values, beliefs and behavior.Receive, sort and accessions specimens, assigning to appropriate pre-analytic and analytic plete computerized tasks related to patient registration and/or test order entry, specimen collection, receiving and processing.Perform basic post-analytic tasks, including distributing reports, storing and/or retrieving plete quality-related tasks such as documentation of work, maintaining a clean, stocked and safe work area, and monitoring pending work, as well as escalating priority work.Operate and/or use basic pre-analytic lab equipment.Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.QualificationsEducation: HS Diploma: High School or General Education Diploma (GED)Certification & Licensure: CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician I OR CPT II-Certified Phlebotomy Technician IIDepartment Required Certification & Licensure: Affiliate: Sutter Coast Hospital, Department: Lab, CPTII-Certified Phlebotomy Technician IITypical Experience: 1-year recent relevant experience.Job Shift: DaysSchedule: Full TimeShift Hours: 8Days of the Week: VariableWeekend Requirements: Every other WeekendBenefits: YesUnions: NoPosition Status: Non-ExemptWeekly Hours: 40Employee Status: Limited Term (Fixed Term)Additional InformationEmployees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.EEO: Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.Pay Range: $34.19 to $42.72 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
