Director, Physician Recruitment And DevelopmentThe Director, Physician Recruitment & Development is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies and tactics that will develop and continually enhance the business and market leadership of MHS. This position will take a lead role in developing and implementing a standard format for business development activity and facilitate the process across the health system.The Director, Physician Recruitment & Development will lead business development processes to maximize the use of our resources. This position will be accountable for executing business strategies to increase volume, revenue and MHS's overall market share. This will be accomplished through aligning and connecting physicians and building relationships throughout the region that will be beneficial to the health system.Job DetailsJob Location: Marietta, OHPosition Type: SalaryJob Shift: 8-Hour Day ShiftJob Category: ProfessionalJob FunctionsOversees recruitment activities of MMH and develops ongoing recruitment plan.Develops or enhances relationships with Ohio and West Virginia Medical Residency program directors.Serves as hospital tour coordinator for site visits.Checks physician/NP/PA/CRNA references and credentials before extending formal offer or invitation to visit.Assists new physicians/ NP/PA/CRNA in applying to the medical staff.Provides oversight of provider onboarding site and activities.Discusses hospital/group policies and procedures with a physician/ NP/PA/CRNA’s and answers questions.Maintains an open line of communication with all current medical staff and seeks input on all aspects of recruiting.When possible, coordinates with other organization departments regarding common recruitment activities (printed materials, spouse job placement, and other activities).Select, coordinate, manage recruitment activities for provider employment job boards, and social media activities.Selects, coordinates, and manages retained or contingency recruitment agencies.Conducts marketing research, as needed.Coordinates appropriate support between and among medical staff for new physician development.Assists as necessary in setting up new physician practices.Serves as a trouble shooter and facilitates communications between medical staff and departments and services of Memorial Health System.Directly supervises physician recruitment associate(s).Has the authority and responsibility to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, discipline, direct, or recommend such actions by using independent pletes and conducts employee performance evaluations based on direct observation of their employee’s job performance.Granted authority to perform the supervisory duties and are held accountable for performing such duties.Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required.Minimum of three years’ experience in Physician Recruiting (preferably with MHS or similar size hospital system).Special Knowledge, Skills, TrainingDemonstrated leadership skills.Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills.Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals, to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions, and to find solutions for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.Memorial Health System is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
