Physician Assistant or Nurse PractitionerThis position provides an opportunity to operate with an independent nature and with a keen focus on quality care. In addition to clinic duties, as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Agile you will sharpen your leadership skills by joining a medical team with expertise in occupational medicine, coaching back-office staff, educating nursing staff and students. In addition to clinic duties, as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Agile you will sharpen your leadership skills by joining a medical team with expertise in occupational medicine, coaching back-office staff, educating nursing staff and students.ResponsibilitiesAssures personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodiesEvaluates and treats occupational medicine patients in accordance with Agile's medical practice modelEstablishes and monitors appropriate level of care for center patientsCompletes all medical record documentation prior to end of shiftWorks with Center Medical Director to ensure operations are consistent with medical and professional standards of care and professional PA/NP associationRecommends potential growth opportunities for new or existing services within the CenterMeets with Medical Director or designate to discuss quality of patient care, review policies, procedures, outcomes reports, and recordsCalls client representatives following employee treatment for initial injury and/or at any significant change in statusIn the absence of Center Medical Director, provides guidance to other medical personnel and center colleaguesMasters use of clinical systems to ensure efficiency, excellent supportive documentation, appropriate and optimal coding levels, charge capture, and follow through on all patient care ordersEnsures compliance with individual State Practice Act, and Workers’ Compensation regulationsMaintains and cultivates relationships with center clients and payers while responding to requests within 24 hoursWorks with medical and clinical leadership to manage clinical and support staffing levels and proficiencies that will optimize patient satisfaction, workflows, and efficienciesFosters an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement and reward and recognitionPromotes center initiatives and workflows that are consistent with those in other centersRequirementsEducation/CredentialsGraduate of an accredited PA or NP program with an unrestricted PA/NP license in the state where employedLicensure requirements of the state of jurisdictionBLS and AED Certified; ACLS Certified, preferredNRCME Certified (DOT Medical Examiner)DEA requiredJob-Related Skills/CompetenciesAbility to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutionsOutstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalismThe ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policiesMedicine knowledgeSystems evaluation knowledgeCustomer and personal service knowledge including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfactionJudgment and decision makingCritical thinkingSpeaking to effectively convey information to supervisors, peers, or customersInstructing skills to teach othersDemonstrated knowledge of techniques and information needed to diagnose and treat human injuriesFosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivityAbility to put patients first and enjoys treating patientsMust be a team player in a multidisciplinary environmentDemonstrates a value of all contributions to product and outcomeDisplays a professional, approachable, and selfless demeanor at all times both to external and internal clientsAgrees, supports, and commits to Agile’s core practice standards and policies and proceduresAbility to display high degree of inspiration for team members to retain focus of providing highest levels of customer satisfactionWillingness to learn and continuously improve, to be audited, observed , and reviewed; is positively responsive to feedbackWorking knowledge of medical office administration and proceduresBasic computer skills, including emailPreferred experience with electronic medical record applicationSalaryStarting compensation range $75.00 - $85.00 hourly.
