Directly or indirectly, you/'ll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC is hiring for a Proton Radiation Therapist.ScheduleMonday - Friday7:00 AM – 3:30 PMPay Range: $55 - $62ResponsibilitiesImplements, documents, and administers radiation to patients and, with the entire team which includes pediatric and adult patients, monitors clinical and psychosocial needs and responses to therapyProvides education and psychosocial support to patients and familiesPrepares and applies ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist and under the general supervision of the Manager and Lead TherapistOperates all Radiation Oncology related equipment, i.e. CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and various computer equipmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentARRT certificationBLS certificationMinimum of 2 years proton experience highly preferredJohns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
