Overview Capture Manager (Director level) – Belong. Connect. Grow. with KBR. At KBR, we define the future and work to improve the world responsibly and safely. The Capture Director will serve as the Capture lead within KBR’s business development organization. Customers include Federal Civilian Agencies, and the Capture Director will be responsible for winning new business across the KBR portfolio including DHS, ICE, DOJ, DOT, and other opportunities. You will lead large, prime, full and open opportunities and guide top pursuits across KBR. Primary work location is Fulton, MD with potential for 100% remote work depending on location. Approximately 20-40% travel to client locations. Responsibilities Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBR’s growth mission and vision Manage and execute the full business development life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals Routinely be assigned 2-3 large ($250M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle, primarily in the civil and commercial space market Conceptualize a winning strategy, develop a capture plan, translate it into win themes, adjust the strategy as procurement unfolds, and drive capture activities and the team to win through final proposal submission Plan, lead, and execute capture activities including: Develop a healthy pipeline of new opportunities Qualify and assess the “win-ability” of opportunities Develop knowledge of customer requirements and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to gain market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, timing, and contract vehicle choices Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and proposal reviews Mentor other capture managers as appropriate Lead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win efforts Lead development and submission of white papers, RFIs, and other proposal artifacts Apply KBR capture management best practices and disseminate capture artifacts (call reports, budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statements) Brief capture status to senior management at milestones or as requested Create winning solutions and pursue large new business programs Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years total experience, including 12+ years in industry and 10+ years in business development Experience winning new business on single-award contracts valued over $300M Bachelor’s degree equivalent acceptable in lieu of degree Demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contracts Ability to work with senior business and government leaders and provide leadership within the workplace Working knowledge of space and engineering support acquisition organizations Ability to drive profitable financial outcomes on each capture with understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE development Proven success in business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, civil space programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification Demonstrated leadership in services-centric organizations to develop and execute significant capture activities, including building teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans Basic Compensation $186,400.00 - $279,600.00 The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and internal parity considerations.
