Job OverviewThe Passenger Service Lead will be responsible for overseeing gate/counter operations, ensuring guests have a first-class experience from beginning to end.Responsibilities include:Comfortably and continuously moving/lifting customer luggage with an average of 50 pounds, including some pieces exceeding 75lbs.Ensuring accuracy of all weight and balance requirements.Promptly handling all customer service complaints with a focus on positive pleting all check-in procedures, including handling reservations, ticketing, set assignments, airport announcements, and checking for proper international documentation.Assisting customers with special needs and unaccompanied minors.Working at unprotected heights of over 15 feet when operating jet ways.Reading and interpreting aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing tags.Ensuring safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.Training new staff members.Performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must pass all pre-employment testing, including drug testing and a physical.Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality.Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently and be available to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.Must be able to stand for long periods at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.Must pass an FBI criminal background check and obtain a customs seal.Must successfully complete and pass initial new hire classroom and on-the-job training.Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of computer software programs.Menzies Aviation is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
