OverviewJoin to apply for the Ca¿ku Project Director role at Fort Peck Community College.Job Purpose: This position will be responsible for carrying out the goals and objectives of the Ca¿ku Project as outlined in the grant application. The Project Director will oversee project staff, collaborate with the four school districts' Superintendents and staff across the Fort Peck Indian Reservation identified in the application, and provide overall direction and guidance to the project staff within the four districts. The Project Director reports to the VP of Special Programs.DutiesPrimary responsibility: carrying out the goals, objectives and activities identified within the grant application.Provide direct supervision over the four School Engagement Coordinators.Track project data, complete annual federal reporting, and coordinate efforts with the external project evaluator to ensure diverse community voices, including those of parents and students.Provide outreach services to other colleges and universities in Montana to establish working relationships as well as the arranging of campus visits to provide local students opportunities to become familiar with campus environments at larger educational institutions.Skills/QualificationsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.Strong organizational skills, team-building skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.Knowledge of or experience with teaching/working with Native American students.Educational QualificationsMust have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree is preferred.Previous teaching experience and/or work in the Education field is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.State of Montana Teaching certification is preferred.Non-Discrimination NoticeThe Fort Peck Community College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities.
