In addition to serving as the OPP Sr Project Manager, this role may also assist School of Medicine executive leaders in their role through the OHSU Health system.This position supports integration across the administrative and project responsibilities of the OHSU Practice Plan (OPP) and OHSU Health. The position collaborates with Health System management and School of Medicine executives to continually improve the operational and financial performance of the practice plan and our partners. Works directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinates with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and not in conflict with any other known projects or initiatives.Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of other team members. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.The position will split time between telecommuting and being present on campus as needed and requires someone who can problem solve and stay highly organized, as well as high level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to stay calm under high pressure conditions and timelines.Function/Duties of PositionProject ManagementCollaborates with OHSU clinical leadership and clinical leaders from planning through project consultation with Project Teams, facilitates identification of key stakeholders, communication needs and ensures appropriate stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.Fully develops the comprehensive Project Plan for identifying, quantifying, understanding, communicating and implementing actions to support lower costs and efficient care delivery. Vets the final draft of the Project Plan with Project Teams and secures final approval.Develops a comprehensive and detailed budget for the project. Vets the final draft budget with the Project Teams and secures final approval.Delivers and maintains project document plans, reports and related communications and correspondence.Maintains documentation as indicated on the appropriate online site.Coordinates, schedules and facilitates project meetings; documents meeting minutes, action items and tracks completion of action items.Ensures a strong line of communication on project deliverables, timelines, updates, outcomes, risks and budget.Designs and recommends a method for regular stakeholder updates, taking into consideration standard work tools. Prepares and delivers presentations as indicated.Identifies and recommends approaches to issues and identifies the most effective means of solving issues, engaging best practices and doing so in a timely manner, thus insuring project success.Serves as subject matter expert on project management.Engages others to join in a culture of collaboration and accountability for project deliverables.Maintains confidentiality related to OHSU Health projectsRelationship ManagementCollaborate with internal and external service partners to provide excellent customer service to the OHSU community and munications and Stakeholder Change ManagementPromotes and facilitates teamwork and maintains high level of satisfaction within project team members throughout project lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closing).Utilizes change management and facilitation strategies to ensure team buy-in, championship, and municates project information to project stakeholders, management, and executive leadership.Fiscal Management, Operational Involvement, Analytics, and EvaluationDevelops project evaluation plan and processes to ensure implementation meets project goals and objectives. Utilizes data to inform critical project decision points.Conducts and/or supports complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data, summarizes findings, draws appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicates results to team.Work with executive leadership to review and update existing processes to streamline efficiencies and reduce operating costs.Continued Professional DevelopmentParticipate in appropriate activities that enhance general knowledge of or ability to do assigned work. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: attend classes, seminars, and other training forums; attend staff meetings and other informational sessions; read vendor documentation, trade publications, or other sources appropriate to position; interact with peers and other employees to receive and disseminate information.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience ORMaster’s Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalent experienceProject management experience in a healthcare setting.Experience leading projects across multiple healthcare institutions.Demonstrated ability to be a self starter and experience to know when to escalate key issues.Demonstrated ability to utilize Smartsheet for project tracking and reportingDemonstrated effectiveness in personnel management, including hiring, work assignments, performance assessment, counseling, and adherence to the terms of bargained contracts, discipline, and dismissal.Must have exceptional leadership and customer service experience and skills.Must be an effective communicator in both oral and written venues.Must serve as a positive and professional role model.Must have a demonstrated record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance at past and present puter skills including Word, PowerPoint, Windows applications, and use of database software, Excel, Visio, etc.Must have strong budgetary, data analytic and process improvement skills with the ability to make complex decisions.Outcomes driven and has the ability to achieve results in a timely manner.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop concise communications.Superb organizational skills and strong customer service orientation and experience.Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in related fieldProject Management certificationProject management experience in a large (>10,000 employees) organization.Experience using project management software.Development and presentations of pro formas.Experience working in a union environment.Project management skills as either a manager or a team member.Proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint and ExcelPMP certificationAll are welcomeOregon Health & Science University values a diverse and culturally competent workforce.
