Program Manager

Lead Technical Program Manager (Hybrid – Santa Monica, Glendale, or NYC):Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in media & entertainment, is seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join their Developer Platform Engineering organization.This role will play a critical part in structuring and executing high-impact engineering initiatives, working directly with teams focused on Kubernetes-based orchestration, cloud networking, and developer platform tools. You’ll partner with engineering managers and highly technical teams to enhance delivery processes, drive execution, and ensure scalable solutions across AWS cloud environments.What You’ll Do:Lead and deliver cross-org initiatives within Deployment & Production Engineering teams.Drive Agile ceremonies and foster collaboration for 2–3 highly technical engineering squads (4–15 engineers).Enhance team throughput by removing blockers, aligning resources, and maintaining delivery commitments.Partner with engineering managers to refine resourcing, planning, and execution.Develop technical understanding of the tools/services delivered by your teams (containers, orchestration, service mesh, APIs).Define and track project metrics to guide engineering outcomes.What We’re Looking For:Education:BS in STEM + 7 years experienceMaster’s + 5 years experienceBA/BS (non-STEM) + 11 years experienceStrong track record managing technical programs in fast-paced environments.Proven ability to partner with software engineering teams (not IT).Hands-on experience with AWS, SDLC, Agile delivery, and Jira (beyond just ticket management).Familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, Kubernetes, microservices).Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical literacy.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with service mesh (Istio), orchestration, and scalable cloud-based applications.Prior software engineering background or ability to deeply engage with engineers.Location: Hybrid, 4 days onsite required.
