Executive Director

OverviewThe Executive Director is an effective non-profit professional, overseeing the mission of Round Top Family Library, while sustaining and enhancing the library's standing in the community it serves. This role is responsible for all functions necessary to the success of the organization. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is the public face of the organization.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day library operations, including oversight of all employees, contractors, interns, and volunteersParticipate in fundraising efforts and community outreach, deepening the relationships with our partners, as directed by the BoardManage all financial aspects of the library, with assistance of the Treasurer and Bookkeeper, and maintain oversight of all compliance and reporting requirementsManage all facilities operations and maintenanceCoordinate all safety compliance and education for self, staff, and volunteersQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or related work experience required; Master’s Degree preferredNot-for-profit or non-profit training and/or experience preferredStrong written and oral communication skills requiredKnowledge of library processes, collection development principles, and the State Library SystemKnowledge of financial systems and the budgeting processKnowledge/experience in fundraising events, grant identification, and writingSoft Skills: Self-starter with high integrity; ability to initiate, execute, and bring multiple projects to completion in a timely mannerAbility to work well with all people, prioritize and delegate tasks, and communicate transparently with the Board, staff, volunteers, and communityEmployment typeFull-timeIndustriesLibraries #J-18808-Ljbffr
