OverviewOperations Director - Commercial Solutions Division is a leadership role at Miller Electric Mfg. LLC, an ITW company. The position involves developing and managing operations strategies and leading cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, and delivery metrics. Apply ITW Operating Principles to drive inclusive growth and continuous improvement across the division.ResponsibilitiesPeople Leadership: lead the production operations team (manufacturing workforce of over 80), build an empowered and inclusive culture with strong employee engagement; partner with business unit and divisional leadership to prioritize and support customer needs; lead manufacturing engineering to drive continuous improvement in processes, improve In-Lining and Flow, and optimize production efficiency, capacity, and quality; champion hiring, development, and long-term resource planning; collaborate with support staff and Human Resources; coach and develop work teams to foster accountability and high quality; enable a flexible, fast-responding workforce in a fast-paced environment.Strategic Planning: lead the materials & supply chain team within the division and matrixed across the enterprise to build a resilient multi-tier supply chain; develop and execute strategies to enable sustained growth; promote manufacturing technologies to improve costs, quality, and efficiency; create a strategic plan delivering safety, quality, and efficiency improvements; drive metrics for safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery; lead benchmarking to stay current with innovative manufacturing processes; manage teams to solve equipment, tooling, facility and process problems.Financial Management: manage the overall operations budget; collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and supplier base to improve margins; establish plans for cost savings and strategic sourcing aligned with growth initiatives.Other Requirements: demonstrate proven strategic operations leadership with analytics, procurement, contracts, inventory, material control, and warehousing; build trust through accountability and effective communication; manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; invest in self and others for future opportunities; communicate effectively with advanced Microsoft Office skills.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field10+ years of experience in operations and supply chain managementPrior people leadership experience (5+ years preferred)Company InformationITW Welding is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
