Your ObjectivesAs the Head of Quality Control, you will be measured against the following objectives:Lead and manage the Quality Control department, including budget and personnel planning.Ensure timely and compliant testing of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.Drive a culture of continuous improvement within all QC processes, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. What You Will DoAs the Head of Quality Control, your duties and responsibilities will include:Managing the Quality Control department, including budgeting and succession planning.Coaching and developing team members to build a strong and sustainable workforce.Ensuring GMP/GLP-compliant testing of raw materials, packaging, bulk products, and finished goods.Leading method validation, new product transfers, and stability testing to align with production needs.Monitoring and improving quality systems using performance indicators.Defining and executing the laboratory’s strategic vision, including resources, investments, and budgets.Promoting a safety-first, quality-always culture.Partnering effectively with other site departments and supporting audits and inspections. What You Will BringThese are the skills and experience you will need to succeed as the Head of Quality Control:Proven experience managing budgets and team development in a regulated industry.Strong expertise in global quality standards (EU GMP).Exceptional prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in both written and spoken German and English.A Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology, or a comparable field (PhD preferred).A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Quality Control or Assurance, and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
