Manufacturing thousands of printers is already an enormous task – and the complexity will grow as we build tens and even hundreds of thousands of electronic products each year.If you are a seasoned engineering manager who can build a robust and adaptable supply chain, optimize the performance of our production line, and shepherd new products through NPI and launch, we want you to join our team as our Head of APAC Supply Chain and ManufacturingThe Job:Partner with US based leadership to define short term priorities between regions and long term roles and responsibilities between US and Asia based teamsManage organization of 20+ employees responsible for end to end supply chain FunctionsDevelop strategic initiatives and sourcing roadmap to improve cost, quality, and performance of Formlabs supply chainOwn NPI timelines, factory readiness, and hold regular in-region ramp reviewsBuild audit procedures and cadences to ensure high quality productionWork with your team to develop measurement technologies, control strategies, and manufacturing methods required to build high quality productsManage all manufacturing equipment sourcing, evaluation, and bring-upBuild partnerships with critical suppliers and build resilience in the supply chainWork with US based global supply managers to support supplier identification, development, negotiation and managementYou:Experience building and leading an organizationHave extensive hands-on manufacturing experience of consumer productsCan work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the highest quality productDrive inefficiencies out of a manufacturing line without compromising qualityAre an expert in contracts, price negotiation, performance metrics, and oversight of contract manufacturersImplement cutting-edge manufacturing processes to identify problems and rapidly adapt to evolving designsLove data and perform sophisticated analytics to improve operationsCan travel to key manufacturing and supplier sites around the worldAre process oriented but ready to be agile and innovativeAre excited to join a fast-paced, bureaucracy averse startup with a flat organizational structureAre fluent in English and MandarinBonus Skills:2D or 3D print industry experienceProgramming proficiency, particularly PythonWe build amazing things.
