This person will partner with the business to identify indirect (non-manufacturing) vendor and purchasing requirements, while identifying and driving process efficiencies and cost savings, supported by key performance indicators.What you will be doing:Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s products, services, and business operations to make informed procurement decisionsEvaluate current policies and practices and identify improvement opportunitiesDevelop and implement procurement strategies for indirect spend categories to align with business objectives while driving cost savingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including sales and marketing, IT, operations, finance, legal, and others to understand business needs and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures while providing support and guidance on procurement processes and strategiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams while building high levels of trust and confidence from team members regarding vendor, price, and payment terms recommendationsNegotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and quality of goods and servicesEffectively expand opportunities to generate value to the Company through contracting national accounts, consolidating spend, rationalizing suppliers, improving payment terms, and driving process efficiencyMonitor and report on key performance indicators, including cost savings, supplier performance, and contract compliancePartner with the Company’s Internal Audit Manager to document and enhance the Company’s Purchase to Pay control environment to ensure Sarbanes Oxley (“SOX”) compliance requirementsStay current on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in indirect procurement to continuously improve processes and drive efficienciesConduct market research and analyze supplier performance to identify potential cost savings opportunitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and servicesParticipate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsAs applicable, lead project RFP’s and perform detailed analyses of bids based on cost and qualifications from supplier submissionsContribute to a business climate and culture that encourages integrity, respect, excellence and innovationOther duties as assigned based on needs of the function or the businessQualifications:Education (required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business or related fieldProfessional Certifications (preferred): Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) CertificationAt least three (3) years of progressive managerial purchasing responsible for handling all aspects of purchasingAbility to communicate and effectively negotiate with suppliers, emphasizing costs, quality, delivery times, and other supplier related metricsAbility to write, implement, and enforce policies and proceduresAbility to work independently, multi-task, and execute in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively in EnglishAbility to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areasSelf-motivated and strong analytical/problem solving skillsExcellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight, and strong attention to detailAbility to take ownership, meet deadlines, and execute on strategic decisionsAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityStrong work ethic with unquestionable integrityStrong MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel as limited periodic domestic and/or international travel may be requiredSeniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionDistribution, Accounting/Auditing, and FinanceIndustriesMedical Device, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, and Biotechnology ResearchReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at INSIGHTEC by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Procurement Manager” roles.Continue with Google Continue with GoogleContinue with Google Continue with GoogleSenior Director, Procurement and Strategic SourcingManager, North American Raw Material ProcurementSupply Chain Manager (D2C E-Commerce Expertise Required)Indirect Strategic Sourcing Manager -
