OverviewS&P Global Ratings is seeking an experienced analyst to join its Structured Finance Ratings practice, which provides credit ratings and opinions for securitizations backed by RMBS assets. The Associate Director is primarily responsible for analyzing transactions backed by U.S. residential mortgages and aggregating data to present to rating committees. The Associate Director may act as the primary analyst and participate in reviewing issuers’ operational capabilities, identifying market trends, and contributing to market research and commentary.ResponsibilitiesManage RMBS transactions, ensuring a consistently high level of analytic qualityConduct detailed reviews of legal and operating documents to ensure compliance with criteriaDemonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysisEffectively communicate S&P’s methodologies and proceduresDevelop and communicate S&P Global Ratings thought leadership and credit themesParticipate and lead special projects to execute the Structured Finance business strategyQualificationsAn advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, a related field or CFA preferredA minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the RMBS sectorStrong proficiency with Excel, financial models and financial dataExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to multi-task and manage deadlines under time pressureAnalytical independence and objectivityDiligent, intellectually curious self-starter with a strong work ethicStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a collaborative teamProficiency in programming skills (VBA, R, Python) a plusCompensation and BenefitsThis section is applicable to US candidates. The anticipated base salary range is $120,000 to $180,000. Final base salary will be based on location, experience, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
