Boldt’s focus on innovation, collaboration, and employee development provides an opportunity for all our employees to Build Boldly.How your role fits into Boldt: The Director Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI is an IT leader that has accountability of the organization’s data and analytics (D&A) assets to drive value for business stakeholders. This includes creation and management of data and analytics strategy, and execution of related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes and employ Artificial Intelligence in order to do so. This role involves establishing, leading and operating the D&A function; developing talent and mature D&A culture; building trust and managing data; and evolving technology capabilities.ResponsibilitiesMaintain authority and accountability for exploiting the value of enterprise information assets, and of the analytics used to render insights for decision making, automated decisions and augmentation of human performance. Be the corporate leader of data-driven insights and use cases that help support the exploitation of strategic and tactical business opportunities.Build partnerships with executive leadership throughout the Boldt Group to establish the vision for managing data as a business asset — to exploit data and analytics capabilities to maximize the value derived from data assets.Define data and analytics vision, strategy and associated practices. Lead the creation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of the organization’s data and analytics strategy set forth by the CITO, and CEO.Foster the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies and data literacy across the enterprise. Lead transformation efforts by developing D&A talent and maturing the capability of the organization.Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.As a key member of the senior IT leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring application strategy is fully aligned, positioning IT to deliver compelling business value.What we expect from youA bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration; STEM; computer science; data science; information systems or related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needs to be able to summarize and communicate technical information to non-technical users.Demonstrate conceptual & analytical thinking: prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and financial analysis skillsPassion for solving problems – ability to do so timely and accurately.Demonstrate curiosity and desire to learn more.Proven leadership abilities in facilitating group discussion and driven to follow-through to resolution.Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and vital information.Professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers.Broad business experience internally and within the vertical industry is desired.Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams, multidisciplinary environments and enterprise-wide data and analytics programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.Experience in integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and information strategies, and/or designing strategic metrics and scorecards.Strategy and management consulting experience desirable.A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds. The working condition of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Appleton, WI office.
